Streamline wires and tie rods
are produced to dimensions and tolerances in accordance with relevant
specifications or to customers' specific requirements or drawings.
Experimental and sport aerobatic as well as vintage aircraft are catered
for. All wires and rods are produced from stainless steel, feature
superior rolled threads and are available with either a satin or highly
polished finish.
As one observer noted:
“Flying wires are hand made by
experienced craftsmen. After the wire is drawn to give it its special
aerodynamic shape, it needs to be straightened. This is done by
experienced craftsmen using mallets against a thick wooden bench”
Every wire or rod produced is
subjected to proof loading equivalent to 60% of the rated strength to
ensure 100% pilot confidence when fitted to the aircraft. End terminals
are also manufactured in stainless steel and can be supplied either loose
or pre-assembled on wires to ensure a perfect fit.
